From guest member Sting’s falsetto opening melodies, Mark Knopfler’s distorted guitar lines, to the thunderous drumming of Omar Hakim, the song became the bands biggest single, charting at number one all over the globe. The album’s single “Money for Nothing” is a perfect example of this. The album marked a change of sound for the band, mixing their signature guitar sound with keyboards and synthesizers.
